☆ PERSONALITY ☆

Hiroaki has a kind outlook on life. He is sweet, fun-loving, and energetic. However, he takes a lot of things in life seriously and also thinks on a logical level. This doesn't keep him from joking around and being friendly, though. In dire situations, he is clever and resourceful. In angry situations, he can be stubborn. In sad situations, he'll most likely close himself off. For the most part, though, Aki is very open with his personality and views.

★ BACKGROUND ★

As a child, Hiroaki wasn't as privileged as other children, since his family did not come from a wealthy beginning. However, he got a good education and was, for the most part, happy. When he entered into high school, he took a fond interest in music and science. However, despite his parent's wishes that he try a field in science, Hiroaki was determined to follow his path to the music industry. He was a promising guitarist, but his dreams were cut short near the end of high school when one of their band members crashed their van. Everyone survived, but Aki suffered amnesia after the incident. His band mates and closest relatives were forgotten, as well as several distant memories and even crucial ones (such as his birth date.) Despite such complications, though, with the help of his family and friends, and daily therapy, Hiroaki regained some of his memories.

Dreams of carrying on his career as a guitarist faded away, however, and Aki was influenced by his close run-in with death (as well as memory loss), to become a doctor. College allowed him to move on to get his Dr.Sc. (Doctor of Science) degree. While he attended the university, he met Hizumi (one of the fellow doctors at Bakuzen.) The pair were close in college, and Hiroaki developed a "mother hen" disposition to his peer. As the years carried on, they often studied together, engaged in similar classes, and even rehearsed for their exams together. Though the friendship had been a long one, it eventually split up when Aki got accepted to become part of a residency to a medical hospital in Tokyo, and built upon his career. Despite having received such an honor and being offered a promotion, Hiroaki ended up declining upon hearing news of Hizumi's success in receiving a residency at a mental hospital. Months later, the young doctor arranged to be transferred to the asylum, and arrived in high spirits that he and his former chum from college could reunite and have a chance in working together.
